On 18 September, REDEMOS will host a Policy Toolkit Validation Meeting at the NTNU Brussels Office, marking an important milestone in the development of the comprehensive policy toolkit that will be submitted to the European Commission later this year.
The meeting will bring together officials and experts from within academia, the think tank world and civil society to exchange perspectives on European Union’s democracy support action in the eastern neighbourhood. Discussions will focus on the evolving trends in democracy support funding, particularly the need to consolidate EU aid in an era of shifting priorities, as well as the challenges and opportunities of democracy support in the context of growing geopolitical competition.
During the meeting, REDEMOS partners will present initial research findings and share draft elements of the Policy Toolkit, inviting debate and feedback, destined to help refine its final version. In doing so, the consortium continues its commitment to advancing dialogue, reflection, and practical policy recommendations for strengthening democracy in the EU’s eastern neighbourhood.
