The Q-Survey App is a newly developed, open-access, open-source software for web-based surveys that integrates restricted choice sorting (Q-sorting). It was developed in the framework of the REDEMOS research project by Athens Technology Center S.A. under the guidance of the Institute of Political Science at the University of St. Gallen. Q-Survey App instances can be used to generate and deploy custom surveys.
The primary purpose of the application is to provide a comprehensive survey management solution. Key features include:
Flexible Question Types: Support for free-text, multiple-choice, selection, range-based, and other question formats, enabling the design of surveys tailored to diverse research needs.
Q-Methodology Support: Built-in capabilities for constructing surveys that align with Q-methodology, a research technique used to systematically study subjective viewpoints. This specialized support makes the application particularly relevant for academic and social science research.
Administrative Interface: A user-friendly web interface allows survey creators to design, configure, and deploy surveys without requiring technical expertise. The administration panel further supports survey monitoring, participant management, and data collection oversight.
