After three years of implementation, REDEMOS will conclude its work with the final conference, under the theme “Turning the Tide: Reclaiming Democratic Momentum in the EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood”, scheduled for the afternoon of 9 December 2025 at the NH Brussels Berlaymont EU Hotel in Brussels.
Following the recent meeting on the REDEMOS policy validation toolkit, the final conference marks a key milestone for the project, offering a platform to assess democratic developments in the region and outline pathways for strengthening democratic resilience. The event will gather leading academics, policymakers, diplomats, and representatives from think tanks, civil society, the media, and EU institutions, alongside experts from EU member states and the EU’s eastern neighbourhood.
Drawing on three years of intense research and close dialogue with key stakeholders across the EU and its eastern neighbourhood by REDEMOS, the conference will revolve around three major topics, notably (1) “Domestic fragilities in the EU’s eastern neighbourhood and EU democracy support”; (2) “Outside-in, inside-out: perceptions of EU democracy support in the EU’s eastern neighbourhood”; (3) “Disinformation and democratic resilience in the EU’s eastern neighbourhood”. The event will also provide networking opportunities aimed at presenting new insights and fostering collaboration.
The programme agenda is now available, and you can view it here.
